A walk in the woods....

Today I have finally listed my very first item for sale on Etsy.... yey!!   Only one, but there will be more added over the next few days.  I spent the morning, which was beautiful, walking through woods with Scout the dog, taking pictures to use in my listings....

So far, just the wolf is listed... the others will be on a.s.a.p.

It was beautiful just walking through the trees, all just a stones throw from where I live.  How lucky to be able to stroll along and enjoy it all.  I came across this growing on the trunk of a birch tree... now I have to get a book to see if I can identify this particular fungi.... it was very pretty.

Scout enjoyed herself too (although she got very hot)!

Right, now I'm definitely going to sit down and finish an EDM - hope to post at the weekend! x

  2. Beautiful paintings, and congrats on setting up an Etsy shop. I've always wondered how those things worked and if worth it to try. You had a beautiful day to spend in the woods, that's for sure!

  8. Congratulations on your etsy! Hope everything sells well for you! I think James Gurney had a post about that fungi, if I'm not mistaken. He said artists used to use it for sketching. If I have time later, I'll see if I can find the post and give you the link.

  9. Good luck with Etsy, your wolf looks really good in the photo and I like the beads on the 'hanger' bit. Let us know when the polar bear is on there!

  10. Thank you so much for the comments guys! Am a bit stunned tonight though (good stunned) because the wolf had been listed in the shop for just over 24 hours and he sold!!! So he's setting off on his journey across The Pond tomorrow when I go to post Ravelle's polar bear! I had to quickly list another item tonight and need to pull my finger out this weekend! Just hoping it's not 'beginners luck'!!
Raena I'd be fascinated to know about the fungi! I knew if I posted a picture someone might be able to shed some light :o) x
